Senior IBM Mainframe Developer @Hybrid

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IBM Mainframe Developer to support and enhance large-scale enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in solution design, hands-on development, system optimization, and technical leadership within Agile delivery teams.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade mainframe applications aligned with business requirements

• Lead technical discussions, perform peer code reviews, and contribute to design and technical documentation

• Develop and maintain programs using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS

• Monitor system performance, optimize batch processes, and improve overall application efficiency

• Provide advanced production support, including root cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents

• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery

• Support Agile development practices and assist with sprint planning and estimations

• Mentor junior team members and promote coding standards and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM z/OS Mainframe environments

• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, IMS, and REXX

• Experience with debugging and analysis tools such as Xpediter and File-Aid

• Solid understanding of batch processing, scheduling, and performance tuning

• 5 8 years of professional mainframe development experience

• Minimum 1 2 years in a technical lead or senior developer role

• Experience working in Investment Management or Retirement Services domains

• Experience supporting large-scale financial services applications

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid onsite/offshore delivery model
