Job Description
A Deployment Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Evendale, OH 45215. This is a full-time, direct hire position with full benefits. Additionally, you must hold a current CompTIA Security + CE certification or equivalent or be capable of obtaining one successfully. Employment requires the candidate to be on-site daily, no remote or hybrid schedule opportunities are available.
Job Duties:
Ideal Candidate will have L3 knowledge in at least one of the Preferred Current systems listed below and at a minimum, L1+ knowledge in one or more of the other areas following. Candidate must be capable of troubleshooting multiple platforms/systems and layers of the OSI model.
Information Security - Splunk, Trellix, Ivanti
Cisco networking products - Catalyst, Nexus, Firepower
Linux - RHEL preferred
Enterprise Storage (NetApp, CommVault, Dell DataProtect)
VMWare ESXi hypervisor, vCenter, and vMotion
Microsoft On-Premise Collaboration Tools (Exchange, Sharepoint)
Windows Server/Desktop
Oracle Database Administrator
VMware Cloud Foundation (NSX-T, vSAN, Tanzu/Kubernetes)
Required Qualifications:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce and deliver presentations and training on new technology implementations (Transition to Operations).
* Proactive disposition to research technical issues, contribute to process and technology improvement discussions, and learn new tools and technologies required to excel in their role.
* Professional demeanor to work in an active professional office environment and ability to communicate with high level managers and decision makers as needed.
* Collaboration, Decision Making, and Risk Management - experience in change planning and execution, ability to understand the requirements of complex changes and work with Program/Product Managers to engage other departments and resources as required.
* Must be able to work independently, if needed, in a closed air-gapped environment to troubleshoot issues, across various platforms, that may occur during a system deployment.
* Bachelor's degree or Equivalent Experience
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering an salary rate of $85,000 to $95,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
