POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development & Marketing Senior Coordinator supports the firm''s business development and marketing initiatives, working closely with the Senior Business Development & Marketing Manager, attorneys, and other members of the Marketing team.
The Senior Coordinator will play an active role in supporting new-business opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships, conducting client and competitive research, preparing pitches and proposals, and supporting initiatives designed to enhance the firm''s profile in the market.
This position requires regular interaction with attorneys, marketing and business development colleagues, and other business-services professionals throughout the firm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development Research & Competitive Intelligence
  • Conduct research on existing clients, prospective clients, companies, industries, and markets.
  • Synthesize research and market data into clear, concise, and actionable reports for attorneys and business development professionals.
  • Identify information that may help uncover new-business and client-development opportunities.
  • Conduct competitive and market intelligence using resources such as Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, and Capital IQ.
  • Prepare research and briefing materials in support of client meetings, pitches, RFPs, and other business development initiatives.
  • Monitor docket alerts, company developments, and major news involving key clients and selected prospects.
  • Prepare relevant summaries and updates for attorneys.
Pitches, Proposals & RFPs
  • Support the development of pitches, proposals, RFP responses, and other customized business development communications.
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and prepare written materials for new-business opportunities.
  • Coordinate information and input from attorneys and internal stakeholders.
  • Help ensure pitch and proposal materials are accurate, responsive, polished, and completed within required deadlines.
Business Development & Attorney Support
  • Intake business development requests from attorneys and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Senior Business Development & Marketing Manager to evaluate opportunities and determine appropriate support.
  • Research existing firm relationships and connections relevant to prospective business opportunities.
  • Assist in identifying appropriate attorneys and team members for business development pursuits.
  • Coordinate with other firm departments, including Finance and IT, when necessary.
  • Support client-development, prospecting, and other business development initiatives.
CRM, Experience & Activity Tracking
  • Track and maintain records of business development activities and pursuits.
  • Maintain and update practice descriptions and client/matter experience.
  • Enter and update key client and prospect contacts within the firm''s CRM system.
  • Help ensure business development and marketing information is current, accurate, and readily accessible.
Rankings & Directories
  • Assist with legal directory and ranking submissions, including Chambers USA and Legal 500.
  • Help gather, organize, draft, edit, and track information required for submissions.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support additional business development and marketing projects as assigned by the Senior Business Development & Marketing Manager and other members of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor''s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant marketing and/or business development experience within a law firm.
  • Working understanding of the business and legal landscape.
  • Experience supporting pitches, proposals, RFPs, client research, and/or other business development initiatives strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours when necessary.
