Role SummaryOur client is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager to
lead and drive cybersecurity initiatives that support and modernize security operations. This role is for a
hands-on, execution-focused PM who can take ownership of complex projects, organize ambiguity, and proactively drive work forward-
not an order taker.
Key Responsibilities- Own and lead cybersecurity projects from planning through execution.
- Drive initiatives such as:
- Redesigning and realigning the Security Operations Center, including staffing models, operating models, SOC documentation, and managed service provider coordination.
- Evaluating and implementing cybersecurity tools, including vendor coordination, procurement, approvals, and proof-of-concept activities.
- Leading large-scale security initiatives (e.g., web application and server scanning) by facilitating roadmaps, tools, and staffing alignment.
- Coordinate across cybersecurity, IT, procurement, HR, architecture, compliance, and external vendors.
- Proactively manage timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements- Proven Project Manager with experience leading technology or cybersecurity-related projects.
- Strong driver and leader who takes control of work and execution without needing direction.
- Highly organized, quick to understand complex environments, and comfortable jumping in.
- Technical background sufficient to understand cybersecurity concepts and environments (not a deep technical expert).
- Self-starter with a balance of strong PM discipline and hands-on execution.
