Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team! You will be leading and a group of dedicated developers delivering quality software that directly supports our customer's offensive cyber capabilities. You will regularly engage with stakeholders, end users, and other members of the team to gather requirements; design solutions; and help write, test, and debug software in support of this mission.

Quarterly travel for planning events in the NCR is expected, as is occasional travel to customer locations at least monthly.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading a team of developers responsible for core backend components of an enterprise system
  • Engaging directly with customers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions, serving as a regular touchpoint for technical information
  • Designing, developing, debugging, and testing software as part of an agile team
  • Performing code reviews and following software development best practices
  • Periodically assisting the customer remotely as well as on site with testing, troubleshooting, and debugging efforts

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited institution with 8+ years of experience
  • Programming experience using Java
  • Experience delivering software solutions for government or commercial customers
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Familiarity and experience interfacing with SQL and no-SQL databases
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders and fellow professionals in technical discussions
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Experience using NATS
  • Knowledge of Business Process Management platforms and/or concepts, especially Flowable
  • Background or experience in cybersecurity
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks including Playwright
  • Knowledge of Agile and SAFe methodologies

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret security clearance is required to apply, however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance prior to the start date.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
