Overview
DecisionPoint seeks E-EFMP QA / 508 / Test Engineers to support accessibility validation, manual and automated quality assurance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for enterprise applications in a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. These roles ensure high-quality, secure, and accessible software releases through structured testing, defect reproduction, and compliance validation.
The E-EFMP QA / 508 / Test Engineers collaborate with developers, product owners, UX designers, and cybersecurity teams to validate functionality, accessibility, and performance before deployments.

Clearance Requirement
Must hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation.

Duties & Responsibilities
The E-EFMP QA / 508 / Test Engineer will:
- Develop test plans, test cases, and scripts for manual and automated testing.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and UAT tests.
- Reproduce defects, collect logs, and document root-cause details for developers.
- Validate accessibility compliance using WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 standards.
- Conduct cross-browser and responsive UI testing.
- Test API functionality, error handling, and backend interactions.
- Maintain test documentation including results, traceability matrices, and defect reports.
- Contribute to automated test suites and help expand automation coverage.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to validate acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint-based testing cycles.
- Provide recommendations to improve overall quality, accessibility, and testing processes.
Clearance Requirement
Must hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation.
Education (Required)
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, QA/Testing, or a related technical field.
Experience (Required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance, accessibility testing, or software testing roles.
- Experience performing manual and automated test execution.
- Experience with WCAG/508 accessibility validation.
- Experience testing web applications and APIs.
- Experience documenting defects and test results clearly and accurately.
Technical Knowledge (Required)
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile testing practices.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 / Section 508).
- Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
Technical Knowledge (Preferred)
- Experience in a DoD or federal IT environment.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline integration for testing.
- Understanding of load and performance testing tools.
Certifications
Required:
- WCAG / Section 508 Accessibility Certification
Preferred:
- CompTIA Security+
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or similar QA certifications
