Summary

Pay Range: $60 - $80/hr. The pay rate may differ depending on your skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Job Overview: 

  • The Data Management Associate plays a critical role in enabling effective data operations, issue management, and data governance across the organization.
  • This role facilitates data request intake and triage, supports issue management processes from intake through resolution, addresses data quality concerns, and enables key data forums through content development and coordination.
  • The associate partners closely with data, analytics, technology, and business stakeholders, while directly supporting the Data Team and the Director of Data Management & Strategy on operational and strategic deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Data Request Intake & Issue Management:

  • Facilitate intake, logging, and triage of data requests and data-related issues
  • Support issue management workflows, ensuring issues are tracked from identification through resolution
  • Coordinate with data owners, stewards, and technical teams to drive timely issue resolution
  • Maintain issue logs, status updates and resolution documentation

Data Operations Support:

  • Support key data operations functions, including data maintenance, validation, and monitoring
  • Assist with routine data quality checks and identify anomalies or inconsistencies
  • Help operationalize data standards, definitions, and governance processes
  • Respond to data-related inquiries from business and analytics teams

Data Quality & Continuous Improvement:

  • Investigate and address data quality issues, including root cause analysis and remediation tracking
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve data reliability, usability, and trust
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data quality processes and control

Information Fluency & Enablement:

  • Create and maintain content to support information fluency, including data definitions, guides, FAQs, and training materials
  • Translate complex data concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation
  • Support data literacy initiatives across the organization

Councils, Working Groups & Governance Enablement:

  • Develop presentation materials, agendas, and supporting documentation for data councils and working groups
  • Track decisions, actions, and follow-ups from governance forums
  • Ensure consistent documentation and communication of outcomes

Reporting, Coordination & Leadership Support:

  • Prepare status reports, dashboards, and summaries for leadership and stakeholders
  • Support the Data Team and Director of Data Management & Strategy on key deliverables, initiatives, and operational priorities
  • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of data management initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in data management, marketing, or an analytical support function.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including design and layout, animations, and use of templates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong formatting and data organization skills.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to create clear documentation and presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
