Job Title: Senior Load Balancer Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Load Balancer Engineer to design, implement, and manage highly available and scalable load balancing solutions. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal traffic distribution, high availability, and performance across enterprise applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and manage load balancing solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.

• Implement and maintain L4/L7 load balancing, SSL offloading, and traffic routing policies.

• Work with tools like F5 BIG-IP, NGINX, HAProxy, or cloud-native load balancers (AWS ELB/ALB, Azure Load Balancer).

• Monitor traffic patterns and optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Troubleshoot complex network and application delivery issues.

• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and failover mechanisms are in place.

• Collaborate with application, DevOps, and network teams to ensure seamless integration.

• Implement security best practices such as WAF, DDoS protection, and TLS/SSL management.

• Automate configurations and deployments using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with strong focus on load balancing technologies.

• Hands-on experience with F5 (LTM/GTM), NGINX, HAProxy, or similar solutions.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and networking concepts.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform load balancing services).

• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

• Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• F5 Certified (e.g., F5-CA, F5-CTS) or equivalent certifications.

• Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and security best practices.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).

• Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes ingress controllers).

• Familiarity with CDN and global traffic management (GTM/DNS load balancing).
