Description: Our client, a leading firm in the architecture and design industry, is seeking a
Senior Architectural Project Manager to lead complex retail, restaurant, and hospitality projects from concept through completion. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and a proven ability to manage client relationships while ensuring all deliverables meet quality, schedule, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities- Review, develop, and oversee construction plans and client-requested design documentation.
- Lead and manage project teams, ensuring compliance with all specifications and standards.
- Estimate project costs for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor design and construction phases to maintain schedule and quality targets.
- Manage all project communication with clients, vendors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local building codes.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for client meetings.
- Maintain strong client relationships and effectively manage expectations.
- Conduct site surveys as needed.
- Oversee project financials, including budgets, schedules, and required documentation.
- Review and approve team timecards; support and mentor junior staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client interaction.
- Direct development of architectural specifications and ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with cost estimators and manage contracts, invoices, and administrative workflows.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture or a related field.
- Architectural registration/licensure preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in an architectural firm.
- Experience with retail, restaurant, and hospitality project types.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with SketchUp, Photoshop, or Illustrator preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning requirements, and accessibility standards.
- Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Skills- Advanced 3D design capabilities.
- Experience preparing construction documents and conducting field observations.
- Familiarity with jurisdictional permitting processes and national architectural standards.

Onsite Requirements- Full-time role (40+ hours/week).
- Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends based on project needs.
- Some travel required.
