Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, governance, and delivery of large-scale SAP implementation, upgrade, rollout, migration, and support projects. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP S/4HANA project management experience, expert-level hands-on JIRA expertise, and experience working in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery environments.
The candidate will support the System of Governance and System of Delivery for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA/I-ERP program, manage program-level risks and dependencies, coordinate Product Teams, and ensure projects remain aligned with scope, timelines, quality, and release objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP S/4HANA implementation, upgrade, rollout, migration, integration, and support projects.
- Support program governance and strategic SAP program objectives.
- Manage JIRA Epics, Sub-Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks, and Subtasks.
- Administer JIRA boards, workflows, dashboards, custom fields, automation, and JQL queries.
- Manage backlogs, sprint planning, Agile delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support SAFe Program Increment (PI) Planning, iteration reviews, retrospectives, and related events.
- Manage program-level CRAID/RAID logs, including risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, and change requests.
- Track scope changes and execute formal change-control processes.
- Manage SAP module and integration dependencies across FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HCM, legacy systems, and third-party applications.
- Coordinate release management, cutover, testing cycles, training, and data-readiness activities.
- Monitor major releases, production releases, release-on-demand activities, and problem incidents.
- Remove project blockers and escalate issues through appropriate governance forums.
- Develop project plans, timelines, resource plans, budgets, risk registers, and status reports.
- Coordinate Product Teams and ensure delivery against scope, milestones, and release schedules.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings and executive-level reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in SAP project management, JIRA standards, governance, and reporting.
- Facilitate lessons learned and transition projects into steady-state support and operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 6+ years of IT experience.
- 3+ years of SAP project/program management experience.
- Strong experience managing SAP implementations, upgrades, rollouts, or support projects.
- Expert-level, hands-on JIRA experience, including:
- JIRA administration
- Board configuration
- Workflow configuration and automation
- JQL
- Dashboards
- Custom fields
- Backlog management
- Confluence integration
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall/hybrid methodologies.
- Experience with SAFe and PI Planning preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, dependencies, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe certification.
- SAP Activate or relevant SAP certification.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, JIRA Align, JIRA Service Management, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of ITSM and change-management processes.
- Familiarity with .NET Framework is a plus.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid — 4 days per week onsite.
