Job Overview
STAFFXPERT is looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Architect / Administrator to lead the implementation, governance, and optimization of an enterprise-wide Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Synapse, Databricks, data architecture, governance, and cloud-based analytics solutions.
This role requires strong leadership, client interaction, offshore coordination, and hands-on technical expertise in Fabric administration, security, performance optimization, and modern data engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Governance
- Configure, manage, and audit Microsoft Fabric tenant settings across the organization.
- Ensure security compliance, feature governance, and platform standardization.
- Monitor and optimize Fabric Capacity (F-SKU) usage using Capacity Metrics applications.
- Implement scaling strategies to optimize platform performance and cost.
- Manage and enforce:
- RBAC (Role-Based Access Control)
- Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Object-Level Security (OLS)
- Integrate Microsoft Purview for:
- Data discovery
- Data lineage
- Compliance and governance
- Configure and manage DLP (Data Loss Prevention) policies to protect sensitive enterprise data.
- Integrate Fabric with Azure Log Analytics for:
- Monitoring
- Alerting
- Auditing
- Trend analysis
- Identify and resolve noisy neighbor workloads, throttling, and performance bottlenecks.
- Establish Power BI governance standards and conduct training sessions for business users and non-IT teams.
Architecture & Engineering Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) using:
- Fabric Lakehouses
- Warehouses
- Provide architectural oversight and best practices to optimize Fabric capacity utilization.
- Develop orchestration and integration solutions using:
- Data Factory Pipelines
- Dataflows Gen2
- Design and manage connectivity between Microsoft Fabric and external/SaaS data sources.
- Utilize Shortcuts to reduce unnecessary data duplication.
- Optimize semantic models for DirectLake mode to support near real-time reporting.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines using Git integration for Dev, Test, and Production deployments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Data Engineering.
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience.
