We are looking for Sr. Cloud AWS Engineer (FinOps) for our client in Richmond, VA

Job Title: Sr. Cloud AWS Engineer (FinOps)

Job Location: Richmond, VA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $88.33hr - $93.33hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 6+ years of IT solution delivery Engineer experience.
  • Hands on experience with public, private and hybrid cloud services including planning, development, migration and integration of applications and services from on premises infrastructure to cloud based platforms-as-a-Service and infrastructure-as-a-Service.
  • Experience with Terraform, AWS Config, AWS Inspector, and Guard Duty.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud technologies.
  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop conceptual, logical and physical IT engineering designs that support infrastructure requirements for technical and business application projects.
  • Complete analysis of business requirements as it relates to technical infrastructure design and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements.
  • Assess testing requirements and prepare testing strategies, implementation plans, and transition plans.
  • Maintain working knowledge of architecture and design of solutions using cloud-based technologies.
  • Serve as a hands-on technical Engineer to provide key technology on system projects focused on development and implementation of strategic technological directives.
  • Perform resolution of complex hardware, environmental software operating systems, and subsystems.
  • Oversee problem avoidance actions in the Cloud hosting environments.
  • Implement changes to business information and technical systems.
  • Analyze and revise existing system logic and documentation as necessary.
  • Authorize risk level changes and recommend solutions to minimize or prevent system interruption.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and select new software and hardware.
  • Perform change and problem management using standard tools.
  • Ensure conformance and compliance with existing system standards and measure performance to ensure proper operation.
  • Lead highly technical and complex projects utilizing staff and resources.
  • Follow and ensure adherence to technical standards for programming and design techniques.
  • Train technical staff on use of software and hardware tools in accordance with required standards and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines.
