Description
We are looking for a Product Owner II to guide product delivery and ensure business priorities are translated into clear, actionable work for engineering teams. This role partners closely with stakeholders and developers in an Agile setting to keep initiatives moving efficiently and aligned with customer and organizational goals. Based in Dallas, Texas, the position requires strong ownership of the product backlog, sprint planning support, and ongoing coordination across technical and business teams.
Responsibilities:
Shape and prioritize the product backlog so development efforts remain focused on the highest-value work.
Convert business objectives and user needs into well-defined stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans for technical teams.
Collaborate daily with engineers, Scrum team members, and stakeholders to clarify scope, remove ambiguity, and support execution.
Help drive sprint planning and refinement activities to maintain alignment between roadmap commitments and team capacity.
Review defects, triage issues, and partner with teams to track resolution and improve product quality.
Use Jira and related tools to manage work items, monitor progress, and maintain visibility into delivery status.
Gather input from business partners and incorporate feedback into product decisions and backlog updates.
Support Agile ceremonies and encourage practices that improve team efficiency, transparency, and delivery outcomes.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or a closely related role.
Hands-on experience working with Agile Scrum teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Strong ability to manage backlog grooming, prioritization, and sprint-ready work preparation.
Proven skill in translating business requirements into technical tasks and user stories.
Proficiency with Atlassian Jira for backlog administration, workflow tracking, and issue management.
Experience with bug tracking, defect prioritization, and coordination with development teams on resolution.
Effective communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical stakeholders.
