Pay Rate: $65–$76/hour (depending on experience)

Overview
Russell Tobin is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support a leading retail organization in San Francisco. This role requires a strong program leader who can drive complex, large-scale technical initiatives from conception through delivery while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex technical programs from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Manage cross-functional teams and stakeholder expectations across multiple workstreams
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure successful program delivery
- Drive program execution with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and promote agile best practices across teams
- Coordinate dependencies across teams to support seamless integration and delivery
- Provide clear and consistent status reporting to stakeholders at multiple levels
- Oversee resource planning, forecasting, and allocation to meet program needs
- Support vendor management and selection processes
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager (TPM) leading complex technical projects end-to-end
- Strong track record of delivering large-scale programs successfully
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
- Expertise in project planning, risk management, and resource coordination
- Experience maintaining program forecasts and analyzing resource needs
- Ability to drive process improvements across tools, workflows, and methodologies
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA and Smartsheet
- Experience managing dependencies and resolving program impediments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail or consumer-facing industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
