Role Overview
Seeking an IT Operations Professional (Level 4) contractor to support enterprise network operations within a global environment. This is a hands on, senior level operations role focused on configuration, troubleshooting, and execution of network changes not architecture or design.
The position has potential to convert to full time, but conversion is not guaranteed.

1. Strong hands on experience with Cisco SDA (Software Defined Access) absolutely essential
Includes working knowledge of:

Cisco switching and wireless
Network segmentation & micro segmentation
2. Senior level enterprise network operations
Strong troubleshooting across LAN/WAN/Wireless
Working with protocols, security, and automation

Certifications
Cisco CCNP strongly preferred
CCIE is a major plus, but not required
Candidates without certs must demonstrate deep SDA expertise during technical interviews.

o Wireless connectivity problems
Role is operations-heavy, not design-focused.

Work Location / Time Zone Expectations
Remote role
Flexibility is critical due to global meetings and off hours work
Standard core hours: 7 AM 4 PM Eastern Time
Must sometimes stretch to support Pacific Time or global windows (Europe/India)
Eastern Time Zone strongly preferred
Acceptable candidate pools include:
o NJ, NY, DE, DMV (DC/MD/VA), NC, FL, GA (Atlanta)
o Mountain Time may work depending on candidate flexibility
West Coast candidates are generally discouraged due to meeting times unless extremely strong / highly flexible.

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a deep understanding of Software-Defined Access (SDA) technology to join our Siemens Healthineers IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in implementing, administering, maintaining and solution designing complex enterprise network deployments with a focus on modern Software-Defined Access technologies.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Lead the development and deployment of robust, scalable, and secure network solutions based on Cisco SDA and other SDN-based infrastructure.
Collaborate with internal teams to operate, adjust, and optimize policy-based automation and segmentation across the network.
Provide strategic guidance on network transformation projects, including adoption of SDA, automation, and security architectures.
Analyze network traffic, performance metrics, and make proactive adjustments to improve system stability and reliability.
Ensure network implementations and configurations comply with design and industry best practices, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
Serve as escalation points for operational teams, with strong troubleshooting skills drive resolution of incidents.
Provide network SME operational break/fix support for Priority 1/Major service outages.
Provide regular status reports, project updates, and network health reports to management.
Mentor and develop junior network engineers and administrators.
Stay up-to-date with the latest networking trends and technologies, particularly those aroundSD-WAN,SDA,SDN, andautomation.
Qualifications and experience:
Minimum of5+ years in network engineering and solution designing, with a focus onenterprise-level networking solutions.
Strong hands-on experience withCisco SDA technology, includingCisco DNA Center,Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE),Cisco Catalyst switches, andCisco Wireless LAN controllers.
Deep knowledge ofSoftware-Defined Networking (SDN),network automation, and network security.
Proficient in network protocols, includingBGP,OSPF,LISP, MPLS, VXLAN, andEVPN.
Experience withnetwork segmentation,micro-segmentation, andpolicy-driven networks.
Experience withCisco SDA, Cisco Meraki,VMware NSX, or otherSD-WAN and SDN technologies.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) with a focus on enterprise networks or network design (preferably with a focus on SDA). Cisco DNA Center, SD-WAN, or SD-Access certification is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud-based networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid networking solutions and automation tools likeAnsible,Python, or Terraform for network management and orchestration.
Knowledge of cloud-native networking and integration with hybrid cloud environments.
