Location: Remote / Hybrid
Duration: 9+ Months
Rate: $50/hr W2 | $55/hr 1099
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AS/400 Technical Lead to join our team and contribute across the full software development lifecycle — from concept and design to deployment and post-implementation support. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in AS/400 technologies and the ability to lead technical initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business Analysts and Technical Leads to clarify requirements
Prepare, review, and provide effort estimations
Perform technical analysis and solution design
Create and review technical design documents
Handle change control activities using ALDON
Lead code development, review, and approval processes
Prepare Unit Test Plans and conduct unit testing
Perform bug fixing, code reviews, and approvals
Promote applications to QA and Regression environments
Participate in deployment planning and execution
Provide production support and post-implementation warranty support
Ensure quality assurance and regression testing activities are completed successfully
Required Skills:
Strong experience in RPGLE and CLLE
Hands-on expertise with Synon
Experience with AS/400 / IBM iSeries environments
Knowledge of ALDON change management tools
Excellent troubleshooting and technical leadership skills
Preferred Skill:
Experience with RxClaim (Nice to Have)
Experience Required:
10+ Years of relevant experience
