Responsibilities
Defines, develops, tests, analyzes, and maintains IT software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements in required area of responsibility such as HR, Associate Integration, Business Integration, Collaborative & Corporate, Logistics & Warehousing, or Manufacturing. Configures, writes, codes, tests, and analyzes software
programs and applications. Writes and maintains software design specifications throughout the system life cycle.
Supports the daily operational activities including interfaces, operations and data integrity of specifically assigned systems in a standard, effective and timely manner.
Investigates and evaluates new technologies, emerging application development software products, languages, and standards that can be used to develop new strategic directions for information systems.
Manages or assists in the management of small to medium sized projects, including the planning, development, implementation and reporting of project status.
Acts as liaison with IT infrastructure group and other systems analysts to assist in resolving problems with IT applications.
Assists in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications in collaboration with internal users and other departments according to system development life cycle standards (ITPM).
Develops, configures, tests, and maintains applications according to specifications consistently.
Designs, runs and monitors software performance on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Assists the end user in use of IT applications by developing user manuals and guidelines and
initially training end users to operate new or modified programs.
Acts as liaison with software vendors for efficient implementation of new software products or systems and for resolution of any issues.
Recommends, schedules, and performs software improvements and upgrades.
Performs other duties as assigned by operations supervisor.
Qualifications
B) Experience: 1-3 years experience in IT and Systems Development with Microsoft's SharePoint Portal Server and Net Framework.
1-3 years experience in IT Applications Development
1-3 years experience in a variety of programming languages (preferably ABAP, C++, C's, JAVA, Visual Basic, ASP, JSP, J2EE, PL/SQL, HTML, and/or XML)
1-3 years experience using relational database (Oracle preferred) and operating systems (LINUX preferred)
1-3 years experience in planning, analysis, design, testing, implementing, documenting and training of IT applications
1-3 years project experience in implementing/configuring IT systems
Education
BA/BS degree (preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology, or AS degree with 2+ years experience working in an IT applications environment.
Discipline
Basic = knowledge of research skills into software-related issues and products
Basic = knowledge of business processes and systems in area of responsibility
Basic = knowledge of how to design and construct applications that improve business processes
Intermediate = understanding of coding methods and best practices
Intermediate = knowledge of proven analytical and problem-solving skills
