Overview:
Location: Albany, NY - Hybrid
Salary: $155,000 - $185,000
We are seeking a Lead Database Administrator who will support our NYS client. This role will be responsible for database management including performance tuning, capacity planning, backups/restores, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong Oracle 12c+ instillation experience along with PostgreSQL and SQL Server, disaster recovery, and experience with securely handling sensitive data.
Duties:

Responsible for database management and support including the maintenance, enhancement, designing of databases, physical database models, and performance tuning

Performing short and long-range planning needs for databases, focusing on performance and sizing characteristics to determine upcoming storage, CPU memory, and network needs.
Mandatory Qualifications:

2 – 5 years of experience in the installation, administration, and supporting Oracle Databases version 12c or later. Experience must include working with the installation of 12c or later Oracle software, applying Patch Set Updates, and PostgreSQL.

Experience in enforcing standards for database security and configuration for all production databases and for non-production databases that may contain PHI or other sensitive data protected under HIPAA, Sarbanes Oxley, or other state or federal regulatory requirements.
