Position Overview:

Travelers is seeking a Technical Systems Administrator to support and maintain the enterprise analytics platforms used by over 1,000 users across multiple business units. This role will focus on administration, stability, upgrades, and troubleshooting of analytics tools and the underlying Linux infrastructure. The position will support environments running SAS and R-based analytics tools across Linux, Windows, and AWS environments. This role is a hands-on systems administration position and is ideal for someone with strong Linux administration experience and exposure to analytics tools or data science environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain analytics platforms including SAS and R environments
• Support and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat / Ubuntu) and related infrastructure
• Manage analytics environments across Linux, Windows, MacOS, and AWS
• Troubleshoot platform issues and support internal users via ServiceNow
• Assist with system upgrades, environment maintenance, and platform modernization
• Support automation opportunities using scripting or AI tools (ClaudeAI)
• Ensure stability and reliability of analytics platforms used across the enterprise
• Work collaboratively with engineering teams and analytics users to resolve issues

Required Skills/Experience:

• 4+ years of relevant systems administration experience
• Strong Linux administration experience (Red Hat Linux, Mac, Windows, Ubuntu)
• Experience supporting analytics tools: SAS (mandatory), R, (light experience), Python (preferred)
• Experience supporting multi-OS environments (Linux/Ubuntu, Windows, MacOS)
• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, and S3
• Understanding of database connectivity and enterprise platform environments

Preferred Skills:

• Bash or Python automation scripting
• Exposure to AI automation tools like ClaudeAI
• CI/CD pipelining, Terraform or infrastructure automation exposure
• Experience with GitHub workflows
