Location: Memphis, Tennessee (Partial Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level UI/UX design consultant to support the evolution of a customer-facing digital experience initiative. This resource will play a critical role in advancing design system capabilities, driving user-centered design standards, and enabling scalable product development across multiple business channels. The ideal consultant will serve as a strategic design partner responsible for strengthening and expanding the organization's design system framework while ensuring alignment with evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on a globally used B2B e-commerce native mobile application.
- Architect, build, and evolve new components and patterns for the design system.
- Translate unique business requirements into scalable design assets.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to establish design standards and influence product direction.
- Enable design consistency while balancing distinct user journeys and business objectives.
- Contribute across both UX design and user research disciplines to connect customer insights to product design decisions.
- Communicate with product owners, business stakeholders, SEO, Analytics, and Front-End development teams.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 5+ years of experience in the User Experience, User Interface, or Interaction Design profession.
- Proven experience creating, scaling, and maintaining reusable design system components, not just consuming existing libraries.
- Experience with eCommerce and designing for responsive and mobile environments.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and on a distributed team.
- A strong portfolio that includes relevant examples of UI and UX successes.
Technical Skills:- Deep expertise in Figma, including advanced design system architecture and governance.
- Proficiency with Sketch, Zeplin, and Adobe CC.
- A strong understanding of component design principles, accessibility standards, and interaction patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Validately, UserZoom, and Adobe Analytics.
