Role: Senior Technical Writer – Integration Modernization (BizTalk/SOA to Boomi)
Location: Down Town Houston, TX (5 days a week onsite)
Contract- 9 Months
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to support a large-scale enterprise integration modernization initiative involving the migration of legacy BizTalk and SOA integrations to the Boomi Integration Platform. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, developers, business analysts, SMEs, and business stakeholders to create comprehensive technical documentation that supports analysis, design, development, testing, and migration activities.
This role requires expertise in documenting enterprise integrations, APIs, data mappings, business rules, interface specifications, and operational procedures while ensuring traceability from legacy systems to future-state Boomi integrations.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of technical writing experience supporting enterprise software or integration projects.
- Experience documenting enterprise integration solutions using BizTalk, SOA, or similar middleware platforms.
- Familiarity with Boomi Integration Platform (or comparable iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Informatica, or TIBCO).
- Strong experience documenting APIs, data mappings, interface specifications, and integration workflows.
- Working knowledge of XML, JSON, Flat Files, EDI, REST, and SOAP.
- Experience creating technical diagrams using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
- Experience with Confluence, SharePoint, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar documentation and collaboration platforms.
- Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.
