In the role of Bridge CAD/BIM Specialist, we'll count on you to:
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and sketches for conventional concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls, and miscellaneous structures using computer-aided design software
- Develop details for concrete and steel bridges, which may include prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, and steel plate girder.
- Typical projects will be for highway projects
- Demonstrate ability to work independently with direction from supervisor and engineers
- Attention to detail is highly desirable
- Support Development of 3D Bridge Models
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications- Associate's degree in engineering technology
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office
- Experience in bridge structural drafting
- Experience working with BrIM, OBM, ORD or other 3D CAD software
- Experience and knowledge of TxDOT CAD Standards, knowledge and experience of other DOT Standards is a plus.
- Preference given to local candidates
QualificationsRequired Qualifications - Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
- Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
- Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
