CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client.

Duration: 6 months
Primary Responsibilities:- Complete and oversee basic to complex systems analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation activities.
- Serve as a key individual contributor on complex application development and technology projects.
- Maintain an excellent functional and technical understanding of supported applications and integrated systems.
- Provide technical direction and coordinate development activities across small to large-scale projects.
- Prepare and manage the technical components of project plans, including estimates, milestones, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with Development, Operations, Technology, business users, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle, from technical analysis through user acceptance testing.
- Prepare and review test data, execute detailed test plans, troubleshoot issues, and complete required debugging.
- Analyze complex relationships and dependencies among programs, interfacing applications, databases, platforms, and transaction-processing systems.
- Provide technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing technology solutions that support business objectives.
- Develop and maintain clear technical and functional specifications, system documentation, diagrams, charts, and process documentation.
- Review technical documentation and work products prepared by less experienced personnel.
- Assess project requirements, including required tasks, estimated timeframes, resource needs, and effort.
- Support the efficient operation, reliability, and effectiveness of supported applications.
- Participate in technical evaluations of vendor software and recommend new technologies, policies, and processes when appropriate.
- Follow and promote established software development standards, procedures, security requirements, and operational controls.
- Maintain a strong understanding of supported business functions, processes, operations, and strategic objectives.
- Support production applications, including incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of technical issues.
- Understand and adhere to risk, regulatory, security, and internal control standards.
- Identify risk-related issues requiring escalation to management.
- Maintain internal control standards and support timely remediation of audit and regulatory findings, as applicable.
- Participate in due diligence, cost/benefit analysis, business studies, and other special projects as required.
Scope of Responsibilities:The Software Engineer II works under the supervision of a Technology Team Lead and is expected to work independently on high-level systems analysis, technical design, development, testing, and implementation activities. The position may coordinate development activities and provide technical guidance to other resources on small to large-scope projects.
The role interacts with technology teams, business stakeholders, senior management, clients, vendors, and other project participants. The position may serve as a technical representative on committees, ad-hoc projects, migration initiatives, and other technology-related efforts.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:- May direct and monitor the activities of less experienced technical resources on project assignments.
- Coordinate development tasks and project activities across multiple teams.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and review of work completed by less experienced personnel.
- Monitor project assignments and assist with ensuring deliverables are completed according to established schedules and quality standards.
- May provide backup to management and serve as a technical lead for assigned initiatives.
Education and Experience Required:- Minimum of an Associate's degree and 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience.
- Experience with application development software, hardware platforms, and enterprise technology environments.
- Experience with Debit/ATM/POS transaction processing and mainframe integration; ACI Trans24 experience preferred.
- Experience with ISO 8583 transaction messaging and analysis.
- Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience integrating SQL Server and mainframe systems.
- Experience supporting production applications and participating in incident management and issue resolution.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting technical information to business and technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects.
- Detail-oriented with strong lateral-thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience coordinating between application development teams and business units.
- Experience recommending and implementing technology and systems solutions.
- Experience driving project milestones and delivery dates.
- Proficiency with personal computers and common project management, word processing, spreadsheet, and collaboration tools.
Education and Experience Preferred:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with ACI Worldwide Postilion.
- ACI Postilion production support and incident management experience.
- Experience with data center/CoLo migration projects.
- Experience with TLS certificate management.
- Experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSM); Utimaco experience preferred.
- Advanced understanding of supported applications and interfacing/integrated applications.
- Good understanding of enterprise application frameworks and technology environments.
- Subject matter expertise in the business functions and applications being supported.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask across multiple components of complex projects.
- Action-oriented and proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Advanced understanding of the overall system architecture and ability to contribute to projects outside of normal business-as-usual (BAU) activities.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $46.64 - $77.74/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
