Summary
Job Title: Cybersecurity Manager
Location: Long Beach, CA (Onsite)
The Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for strengthening and maintaining the cybersecurity posture of the marine container terminal while ensuring security practices support the terminal's operational, labour, safety, and business
Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity Leadership & Managed Resource Oversight
Risk-Based Cybersecurity & Operational Requirements
- Apply NIST-aligned and other recognized cybersecurity practices using a risk-based approach that considers the unique operational, safety, technical, vendor, and labour requirements of a 24x7 marine terminal environment. Where prescribed controls are not operationally feasible, evaluate and implement appropriate compensating controls, document residual risk, and follow established exception and risk-acceptance processes.
Vulnerability & Security Tool Management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure security, security engineering, or related IT disciplines.
- 2+ years of experience leading cybersecurity personnel, managed service resources, consultants, or technical teams.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk management and common security frameworks.
- Experience managing vulnerability identification, prioritization, remediation, and exceptions.
- Experience with endpoint, network, vulnerability-management, and application-security technologies.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, operating systems, identity, applications, and security architecture.
- Experience participating in cybersecurity incident investigations and response.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting marine terminals, ports, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, industrial, or other 24x7 operational environments.
- Experience supporting both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
- Experience implementing or assessing cybersecurity controls for AI-enabled solutions.
- Experience securing cloud applications, APIs, internally developed software, and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity frameworks and other recognized security standards.
Relevant Certifications
- CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Security+, or comparable cybersecurity certification preferred.
