Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced Data Scientist (level 3) to join our Delivery Center Business Intelligence team in Everett, Washington with an emphasis on Safety Management System (SMS), Quality Management System (QMS), Boeing Production System (BPS).

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and diverse team. In this role, you will collect, analyze, visualize and distribute problem solving data. You will have the chance to define, design, develop, deploy and maintain Business Intelligence solutions. The Delivery Center Business Intelligence team provides the right data, at the right time, to the right people, for the right outcome.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Determines, defines and deploys predictive/prescriptive analytic solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Chooses best fit methods, defines algorithms, validates and deploys models to achieve business results.
  • Performs necessary data preparation and enhancements to models.
  • Partner with the enterprise business functions and collaborate across multiple teams including analytics, product management, and operations to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Lead and contribute to design, algorithm, and code reviews.
  • Develop end-to-end BI, AI, ML solutions including data processing, feature & model development and production deployment with agility and scale.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • Bachelors or Master's degree
  • 5+ years of experience with coding in IBM Cognos, Tableau, R/Python, and/or SQL
  • Experience with industry work experience or academic research in applied Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning including deep learning
  • Experience in mentoring and/or leading small technical teams
  • Experience developing software products in a cloud computing environment e.g. Azure/AWS/Google Cloud

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience building and implementing state-of-the-art computer vision models and pipelines.
  • Experience building and implementing state-of-the-art graph neural networks and pipelines.
  • Experience building and implementing state-of-the-art natural language processing models and pipelines
  • 5+ years of experience or relevant coursework with machine learning related open-source libraries including, but not limited to: Pandas, SciKit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Theano, etc. Python experience preferred.
  • Work experience or relevant coursework in software engineering including work with databases (e.g., experience with SQL) and Linux systems.
