Position: Sr. Data Governance Analyst

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst to support the implementation and transition of enterprise data governance capabilities across Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Varonis and Power BI.
The Data Governance Analyst will work closely with data owners, data stewards, technical teams and business stakeholders to support metadata management, data cataloging, classification and tagging migration, data lineage, and ownership/stewardship activities.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and a strong understanding of Databricks Unity Catalog, metadata, data classification, data lineage, and data governance practices.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Experienced in Microsoft Purview.Understanding of legal data court system is a plus
5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Metadata Management, Data Cataloging, or a closely related discipline.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, preferably including Purview Classic and Unified Microsoft Purview.
Experience with Microsoft Purview Data Map and data catalog capabilities.
Experience with metadata scanning, cataloging, classification, tagging, and data lineage.
Experience working with Databricks and Unity Catalog.
Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and understanding of data integration/data lineage.
Experience with Bronze/Silver/Gold data architecture and associated metadata governance.
Experience establishing or supporting Data Owner and Data Steward models.
Understanding of data governance, data stewardship, metadata management, and data classification concepts.
Experience working with Power BI and understanding how governance/lineage extends to the reporting layer.
Experience integrating or working with Varonis is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of RBAC and least-privilege concepts.
Strong documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting enterprise-scale data governance implementations.
Experience with Microsoft Azure data and analytics environments.
Experience migrating governance metadata from legacy platforms to modern governance platforms.
Experience with Purview APIs or automation for metadata ingestion.
Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog tags and governance.
Experience with Varonis.
Experience with Power BI governance and lineage.
Experience working with decentralized data ownership/stewardship models.
Experience in regulated or highly governed environments.
