Job Summary:Salas O'Brien is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in power generation and boiler performance. Engineer will be responsible for the oversight and technical direction to support the conversion and operation of power generation units for utility clients.
Job duties include:
- Leverage knowledge of boiler performance and system configuration based on unit response to operation inputs.
- Participate in and support design and/or coordination reviews with clients and other project team members.
- Collaborate with and support engineers and project managers across various projects.
- Work closely with vendors to support vendor-submitted data for technical reviews and production.
- Oversee assigned project efforts to ensure adherence to design requirements and performance as directed by clients.
- Capable of increasing technical competency with experience and work ethic.
- The position requires travel to client site's on a project to project basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in power generation projects specific to coal and natural gas boiler performance.
- Experience with boiler performance tuning and overall system operations for utility generation units.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel
