Overview
IntePros is seeking a Data Collection Specialist to support robotics research and development by executing high-quality data collection activities that improve machine learning and autonomous systems. This role works closely with engineering and research teams to operate robotic equipment, collect and validate data, and identify opportunities to improve collection processes.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working with physical devices, computers, and large datasets. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently with minimal direction, and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality data in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute data collection activities to support robotics research, testing, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Operate and remotely control robotic systems while monitoring performance and ensuring high-quality data capture.
  • Review video footage and collected data to identify issues and take corrective actions to improve data quality.
  • Manage data collection logistics, including securing testing materials, organizing equipment, and tracking collection activities.
  • Maintain daily reporting on collection progress, project status, and data quality metrics.
  • Own assigned projects focused on improving data collection workflows, efficiency, and process quality.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and research teams to improve system usability and optimize data collection speed.
  • Work with large data files, ensuring proper organization, storage, and documentation.
  • Follow established safety procedures while working with robotic equipment and electrical devices.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to collection methodologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in data collection, laboratory operations, robotics, manufacturing, or technical support.
  • Basic familiarity with electrical equipment, safety procedures, and operating technical equipment.
  • Comfortable working with computers, command-line interfaces, and large data files.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to support changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting robotics, automation, or physical device testing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end data collection processes, including data storage, validation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience identifying process improvements within technical or laboratory environments.
  • Familiarity with machine learning data collection workflows or robotics research operations.
