Job Overview
We are seeking a mid-to-senior ERP Business Analyst to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA modernization program for a leading Aerospace & Defense (A&D) client. This program consolidates multiple business areas into a unified S/4HANA RISE instance with integrated solutions including MEV (Material & Labor Earned Value), Cobra, SuccessFactors, SAP EWM/TM, and BTP.
This role combines expertise in purchased parts and in-house make-part processes, focusing on earned value management (EVMS), material/labor costing, procurement, MRO/aftermarket, and performance tracking. The analyst will bridge SAP S/4HANA data with Cobra EVMS, ensuring accurate program performance metrics in a highly regulated NS2 Gov Cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support material and labor earned value processes for both purchased and make-part operations
- Track and report procurement and production lifecycle:
- PR → PO → Receipt → Invoice → Payment
- Production order creation → release → confirmation → completion → settlement
- Develop time-phased Estimates to Complete (ETC) and forecasts aligned with contract Period of Performance (PoP)
- Build and maintain baseline costs for:
- Purchased parts: quantity, unit price, extended value, vendor services, subcontract material
- Make parts: raw materials, labor, NPA, SRR, and vendor processing
- Design labor and material tracking reports, including BCWP, BCWS, ACWP, CPI, SPI, and quantity/hour metrics
- Support repair, rework, scrap, and excess material analysis in MRO/aftermarket operations
- Define and validate S/4HANA ↔ Cobra integrations for material, labor, and EVMS data
- Develop simulation and “what-if” scenarios for both labor and material baselines without affecting production or program baselines
- Create BOM-, part-, and WBS-level data models supporting roll-up, drill-down, and snapshot reporting
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, FAR, DFARS in all financial and ERP processes
- Support UAT, reconciliation, and validation during program rollouts and transformations
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of SAP ERP Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Program Controls experience
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including:
- Experience with PMMO (Project Manufacturing Management & Optimization) and GPD
- Deep understanding of:
- Procurement & supplier management
- Shop floor routing, production orders, work centers, and standard hours (HPU)
- Repair, rework, scrap, and aftermarket/MRO operations
- Earned value concepts (BCWP, BCWS, ACWP, CPI, SPI)
- Experience integrating SAP with Cobra or other EVMS tools
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate ERP data into program performance metrics
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Aerospace & Defense (A&D), defense contracting, or government programs
- Familiarity with ITAR, FAR, DFARS compliance requirements
- Experience with SAP NS2 Secure Government Cloud (Gov Cloud)
- Knowledge of RISE transformation programs
- Experience with SAP Analytics tools (SAC, BW/4HANA) or external BI platforms
- Experience with Make-to-Engineer (MTE) or Engineer-to-Order (ETO) operations
