Database Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to design, build, and manage scalable database platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with
Terraform and Ansible, along with strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and relational database technologies.
This role focuses on designing
end-to-end Oracle database infrastructure solutions on
DBaaS Exadata platforms, leveraging modern automation and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities - Design and develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible playbooks
- Build and deploy Oracle Database solutions on DBaaS Exadata platforms
- Own the end-to-end design and implementation of Oracle infrastructure using Terraform
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of database infrastructure
- Integrate infrastructure deployments with CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with DevOps, database, and application teams to ensure reliable and scalable deployments
- Troubleshoot and optimize database infrastructure performance and availability
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational best practices
Must-Have Technical & Functional Skills Primary Skills - Terraform
- Ansible (Ansible Tower preferred)
Secondary Skills - CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Horizon, XLR
- Relational databases: Oracle (preferred), MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
- Version control: GitHub, Bitbucket
- Scripting: Shell Scripting
- Database programming: SQL / PL/SQL
Required Experience - 7+ years of overall IT experience
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible
- 6+ years of experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, XLR, Horizon, or similar)
- Experience supporting and managing enterprise-scale database environments
- Experience with Python and Shell scripting is a strong plus
