RPG Consultant

Introduction:

The RPG Consultant will be responsible for providing expertise in RPG/RPGLE, Manhattan WMS, SQL, and other related technologies to support the team. They will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and optimization of systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize RPG/RPGLE programming skills to develop and maintain applications within the Manhattan WMS environment.
  • Work on SQL queries and database management to extract and manipulate data as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Servicenow and Jira systems.
  • Assist in the integration of API and middleware systems to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Provide support in supply chain and logistics domain, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries.
  • Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Monitor system performance and utilize job scheduling systems for efficient task management.
  • Develop basic scripts or automation processes using Shell, Python, or other relevant tools.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in RPG/RPGLE programming language.
  • Experience with Manhattan WMS (PKMS / Manhattan Active).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database querying techniques.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Manhattan Active (Cloud / Microservices architecture).
  • Understanding of API integrations and middleware systems.
  • Exposure to supply chain and logistics domain.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools and job scheduling systems.
  • Basic scripting or automation knowledge (Shell, Python, etc.).
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
