About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong experience in database modernization, technology controls automation, and data platform engineering. In this role, you will design, build, and support scalable data and application solutions that enhance operational resilience, compliance, and modernization across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with engineering, data, and risk teams to deliver secure, automated, and production-ready solutions that meet governance, audit, and technology standards.
What You'll Do
Technology Controls Automation
  • Design and implement automated technology and data controls across application, database, and reporting layers.
  • Build monitoring, validation, and evidence-generation capabilities to support audit, risk, and compliance needs.
  • Integrate controls into CI/CD pipelines, data workflows, and operational dashboards to reduce manual processes and improve consistency.
Database Migration, Development & Modernization
  • Lead or support database and application migration initiatives, including on-prem to cloud or hybrid transitions.
  • Refactor and optimize schemas, stored procedures, views, and ETL/ELT pipelines across Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and parity checks to ensure accuracy during migrations and cutovers.
  • Support operational readiness, performance optimization, and post-migration stabilization.
Analytics & Reporting Enablement
  • Develop analytical data models and reporting solutions in Power BI.
  • Provide dashboards and metrics that improve visibility into operational health, control effectiveness, and business performance.
  • Translate complex technical, operational, and risk requirements into clear reporting deliverables.
AI & Machine Learning Enablement
  • Operationalize machine-learning outputs within enterprise data platforms, including feature stores, scoring pipelines, and governed model outputs.
  • Integrate Python, R, or approved cloud ML services into data workflows.
  • Deliver predictive and anomaly-detection dashboards with appropriate governance, model monitoring, and controls.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through professional experience, consulting, military service, or education.
  • Hands-on expertise with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server development and administration.
  • Experience with database migrations, schema refactoring, and data validation.
  • Experience building or supporting Power BI dashboards and data models.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, data management practices, and enterprise compliance expectations.
  • Ability to work in Agile environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in technology risk management, control automation, or regulated environments.
  • Background modernizing legacy data or application platforms.
  • Familiarity with enabling AI/ML solutions within enterprise analytics ecosystems.
  • Exposure to cloud data/ML services.
