We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Tax Filing Specialist to join our compliance and client support team. This role focuses on high-volume filing processes, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and seamless client interaction.

Payroll Tax Filing Specialist
Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities

Execute bulk payroll tax filings with precision, adhering to federal, state, and local requirements.
Support client delivery by responding to inquiries and providing clear updates on filing status.
Prepare and review tax filing data using advanced Excel skills (data validation, reconciliation, reporting).
Utilize APTM and other tax filing systems to process filings efficiently.
Identify discrepancies in tax data and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
Conduct compliance research and stay current on payroll tax regulations.
Contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors in workflows.
Assist with client presentations and provide updates on filing activities when needed.

Requirements

2–3 years of experience in payroll tax filing, with emphasis on bulk filing.
Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations (federal, state, and local).
Hands-on experience with bulk filing processes and systems.
APTM experience strongly preferred.
Advanced Excel skills (data manipulation, formulas, reporting).
Experience supporting client delivery and participating in client interactions/presentations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workloads.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
