Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Ad Platform & AI Systems

Overview

Seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and scale advanced AI/ML solutions within a high-performance, distributed advertising platform. This role focuses on developing intelligent systems that power ad decisioning, forecasting, experimentation, targeting, and ad experience optimization across large-scale digital properties.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep ML expertise, strong system design capabilities, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Must-Have Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience)


• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade, large-scale ML systems


• Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, mathematics, statistics, and numerical optimization


• Advanced programming skills in Python (primary), plus experience with Java and SQL


• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures


• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face

• Hands-on experience with:




• Transformer architectures (BERT, GPT-style models, ViT)


• Deep learning methodologies including sequence and recurrent models


• Multimodal embedding techniques (text, image, audio, structured data)


• Large Language Models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, LLaMA or similar)


• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures


• LLM evaluation frameworks and model validation methodologies




• Proven ability to design and scale robust, production-ready ML systems


• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams


• Demonstrated success in fast-paced, high-impact engineering environments

Nice to Have

• Experience in digital advertising, ad tech, or digital marketing platforms


• Experience with Databricks and/or AWS SageMaker

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy state-of-the-art ML models across ad forecasting, targeting, pacing, pricing, and delivery optimization


• Build scalable ML systems that power core advertising platform capabilities


• Rapidly prototype and iterate on innovative AI-driven solutions


• Ensure engineering excellence through high code quality, reliability, and scalable system design


• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical rigor and continuous improvement
