Maintenance Technician

Night Shift role - 7pm - 7am 2-3-2 shift

Summary:

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery. Reports to Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance & Engineering Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

Install facility machinery.

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.

Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.

Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).

Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.

Communicate with operators from other shifts.

Maintain and secure work tools.

Clear, clean, and maintain work area.

Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

Program Programming Logic Controller (PLCs).

Provide on-line job training for new employees.

Order tools and machinery inventory parts.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

Advanced skills required in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, piping systems, and/or PLC programming.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
