The organization seeks a Contractor Special Security Officer to lead SAP and SCI security operations, facility accreditation, and personnel access management. The role requires mastery of SAP/SCI directives and close coordination with government oversight entities to maintain compliant, mission-ready programs.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000/ yr. w2

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
  • Direct all SCI and SAP security operations and maintain compliant SOPs in accordance with DoDM 5205.07 and controlling directives.
  • Manage the lifecycle of SCIFs and SAPFs, including accreditation, modifications, and continuous monitoring.
  • Prepare and maintain facility accreditation artifacts such as Fixed Facility Checklists, TEMPEST Checklists, and Compartmented Area Checklists, as well as co-utilization agreements and other required documentation.
  • Oversee personnel security processes including Program Access Requests, SCI nominations, indoctrinations, debriefings, and accurate personnel records.
  • Implement and manage systems for accountability, control, transmission, and destruction of all SCI/SAP information and materials.
  • Partner with information security and cybersecurity teams to ensure systems within SCIF/SAPF environments meet SAP/SCI and applicable DISA requirements.
  • Deliver SAP/SCI security training for assigned personnel and visitors, including host-specific training as required.
  • Lead internal self-inspections and serve as primary point of contact for external government compliance inspections to ensure readiness.
  • Serve as primary interface with SAPMOs, SSOs, PSOs, SAPCOs, GSSOs, and other security stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Keep the Site Lead and Program Manager informed on facility, network, and overarching security issues, schedules, and updates related to compliance and modifications.
  • Support tasks related to DCSA NISPOM requirements as applicable.
  • Perform other security duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
Experience Requirements
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in the DoD Security Enterprise, including 7 to 10 years managing SAP and SCI programs.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with current background investigation, SCI eligibility, and current or prior SAP access.
  • Expert understanding of DoDM 5205.07 series, ICDs 704 and 705, and applicable DoD component SAP and SCI policies.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving capability and ability to manage complex security challenges with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated teamwork and ability to manage multiple actions simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of DCSA NISPOM requirements (preferred).
