UX/UI Designer I

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a UX/UI Designer I to join their team in Oakland, CA.

Summary:
As a UX/UI Designer I, you will shape the content and copy inside our member-facing experiences - UI content design plus proactive ideation of engaging content concepts. You'll make sure every interactive experience (games, polls, trivia, and beyond) is clear, on-brand, and genuinely compelling to members, and you'll bring fresh ideas for what content we should create next.

Responsibilities:
* UI content design: Write and structure in-experience copy - headlines, prompts, microcopy, CTAs, results screens - that is clear, concise, and on-brand
* Ideate engaging content: Proactively suggest content concepts, themes, and formats that will resonate with members and drive engagement
* Partner with product and engineering teams: Work alongside the AI Experience Developer to ensure content and interaction work as one
* Maintain voice & consistency: Keep content aligned to brand voice and content standards across experiences
* Refine on performance: Use engagement data to sharpen copy and content direction

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree
* Strong UX writing/content design background - a portfolio of in-product copy and content
* A point of view on what makes content engaging; Comfortable pitching ideas, not just executing
* Collaborative - works fluidly with developers and marketers
* Bias toward action- fast, iterative, comfortable with ambiguity
* Ability to write concise, on-brand microcopy for interactive formats
* Proven ability to work within an established brand system

Nice to have:
* Fintech/consumer app experience
* Familiarity with gamified or interactive content
* Comfort using AI tools to accelerate content drafting and ideation

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
