We have an immediate need for an API Automation Testing Expert in Phoenix, AZ 85027 to support high-impact API quality engineering initiatives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust API automation frameworks using Karate for functional, integration, and data-driven testing. You will integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable feedback cycles, while validating API contracts and ensuring end-to-end quality at the API layer. The role requires close collaboration with development, product, and DevOps teams to align testing strategies with business goals. You will also lead automation efforts, mentor junior engineers, contribute to test planning and execution, and drive improvements in automation standards and frameworks. Active participation in Agile ceremonies, coordination with offshore teams, and involvement in daily and weekly status discussions will be key aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in API automation using Karate, along with solid experience in CI/CD integration and Agile methodologies. Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and experience in test planning, test case design, and automation strategy are essential. The ability to coordinate across teams and drive quality initiatives at scale will be critical for success in this role.
