Description
AI Security Engineer to assist with design and implementation of security controls around AI/ML for training deployments. Will build and maintain reference architecture for AI solutions and will identity and mitigate threats for prompt injections and in house AI security. They will define and enforce guard rails around agentic AI and secure handling of prompts, conversation memory, etc.
Engineering background in cloud is needed. Good amount of interacting with the AI tools which is somewhat greenfield. Kevin has been playing with some of these tools for about 2 years.
Cloud preference: Azure primarily but some in AWS. They are mostly a Microsoft shop and AI will be in Foundry. They are working with some open source LLM's but they live in Dev Environments. These need to be evaluated and protected. Not really DevOps but someone that understands supply chain could be helpful. They have app sec people that can assist with this. Will have 3 layers of interviews - 1. Technical 2. cultural 3. leadership.
Need to be well spoken as they will interact with CISO and directors from time to time.

Design and implement security controls for AI/ML pipelines, including training, evaluation, deployment, and inference environments.
Build and maintain secure reference architectures for GenAI and ML solutions
Implement least privilege, network segmentation, secrets management, encryption, and secure configuration baselines for AI workloads.
Identify and mitigate AI-specific threats including:
o Prompt injection and indirect prompt injection

Define and enforce guardrails (policy, technical controls, and monitoring).
Implement strong identity and access controls for model endpoints, training resources, datasets, and annotation workflows.
Ensure secure handling of prompts, completions, embeddings, and conversation memory.
Configures, implements, and troubleshoots a wide variety of cyber security devices
Implement and maintain cyber tools
Monitor and respond to output from cyber tools' health
Tune tools for optimum performance and business focused monitoring
Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
Capacity planning for cyber devices
Respond to events/incidents with knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism
Create and participate in cyber security practice exercises
Identify and define system security requirements for a heterogeneous computing environment (Microsoft, IBM, Linux, proprietary OS, Industrial Control Systems)
Design cyber security architecture in accordance with IT architects and current and forward-looking network design
Create, develop, and maintain detailed cyber security design documentation
Prepare, document, and maintain standard operating procedures and protocols
Collaborate with team members and business teams to troubleshoot system
Configure and troubleshoot cyber security devices

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.
