Software Engineer III – Benefit Eligibility Systems

Key Responsibilities

• AI/ML Integration: Evaluate, utilize, and lead the adoption of AI/ML tools to accelerate product modification and creation.

• Technical Leadership: Develop and maintain mission-critical applications; resolve complex problems regarding system feasibility and design.

• System Modernization: Create automated, guided workflows to reduce manual documentation processing; explore agentic-AI code development workflows.

• Full Lifecycle Ownership: From requirement gathering and system specification to coding, testing, and production deployment.

• Collaborative Design: Partner with QA, data teams, and business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with product backlogs and business goals.

• Support: Provide on-call support and participate in structured code reviews.

Required Technical Proficiencies

• Core Development: 5+ years in J2EE application development (front-end, back-end, and middle-tier).

• Design & Architecture: Proven experience with multiple design patterns and third-party middleware tools.

• Web Services: 3+ years in creation, consumption, and implementation; 2+ years specifically with JAXWS (top-down/bottom-up).

• Infrastructure: Extensive knowledge of web and application servers (5+ years).

• Database: 2+ years of Oracle SQL experience.

• Frameworks: 2+ years with Spring and Struts modules.

• Preferred Skills: Experience with Linux/Shell scripting, JBoss deployment management, clustered hardware environments, and welfare eligibility case management systems.
