Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable IT Technician to augment our existing team. This position is responsible for supporting business planning, tactical execution, and business integration in an assigned technology area. The primary focus is to ensure customer satisfaction for all IT activities and support services, with a strong emphasis on empathy and a positive customer experience. This role requires technical troubleshooting abilities and the capacity to integrate into our established processes within a healthcare-specific environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for a wide range of hardware, software, and operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues including password resets, application support, network connectivity, hardware diagnostics, and printer support.
- Act as a resource in documenting issues, problems, and concerns regarding IT resources, tools, and systems.
- Follow established guidelines and procedures to troubleshoot information technology issues, referring complex problems to others when necessary.
- Maintain current professional and technical knowledge relating to the healthcare industry.
- Work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment where there may be conflicting priorities or tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Education: High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge in a similar role is required.
Experience: Proven experience in providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support is required. This includes hands-on phone IT experience.
Technical Skills:- Knowledge in the use and operation of a wide range of desktop and mobile devices and network connectivity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and techniques.
- Understanding of ITIL best practices, particularly incident and problem management.
Professional Skills:- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Information Technology in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Experience supporting clinical applications and workflows.
- Understanding of the sensitive nature of healthcare data and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT infrastructure and common technologies used in the industry.
- Additional related education and/or experience is preferred.
Work Environment
This is a remote position. The work shift is 11:00pm to 9:30 AM, Arizona Time. This is a contract role with the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time employee. The role requires extensive use of a personal computer and phone. The work is performed in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $20.00 and $24.00 per hour. The contract has the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time employee role.
