Job Title: Oracle EBS HCM/Payroll Techno‑Functional Consultant 

Location: Onshore - Remote (EST‑based client)

Visa: USC

Overview: A large enterprise is transitioning from Oracle EBS to Workday HCM & Financials and is currently behind on its data conversion scope. They are entering end‑to‑end testing and need an experienced Oracle EBS HCM/Payroll SME who can immediately step in, troubleshoot defects, and refine existing extraction logic. The organization is targeting a July 2027 go‑live and requires a consultant who operates independently and drives outcomes from day one.

Environment: The client has established extraction and ETL logic, but functional gaps and defects have surfaced across HRMS and Payroll conversion extracts. Additional hands‑on Oracle EBS expertise is needed to remediate issues, validate configurations, and support testing and reconciliation efforts.

Primary Goal: Refine and remediate existing Oracle EBS HRMS/Payroll extraction logic—leveraging deep functional and technical knowledge to investigate configurations, identify root causes, and close outstanding data conversion defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve defects within existing Oracle EBS HRMS and Payroll SQL extracts.
• Review and refactor extraction logic across employee/person data, assignments, positions, jobs, benefits, compensation, and payroll.
• Analyze Payroll configurations including recurring/nonrecurring elements, deductions, garnishments, tax profiles, and YTD balances.
• Independently navigate Oracle EBS tables, relationships, and configurations to identify data discrepancies.
• Review functional requirements and conversion mappings; recommend and implement updates to extraction logic.
• Partner with Informatica Data Architects to transition corrected SQL extracts into automated routines (IDMC/CDI).
• Support end‑to‑end testing, reconciliation, and defect closure.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of work experience with SQL
• 8+ years of work experience with Oracle Database
• Deep Oracle EBS HCM & Payroll functional and technical expertise.
• Advanced Oracle SQL development, debugging, and extraction experience.
• Strong understanding of HR and Payroll data structures, dependencies, and business logic.
• Experience troubleshooting ERP/HCM data conversion issues.
• Ability to independently investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex technical/functional problems.
• Functional expertise: Payroll elements, deductions, compensation, employee data.
• Technical expertise: Advanced Oracle SQL for debugging, refactoring, and remediation.
