Virtualization/Data Center Engineer

Job Title: Virtualization & Data Center Engineer (V2V / V2X Infrastructure)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled engineer with expertise in Virtualization, Data Center Infrastructure, and V2V/V2X systems. The role focuses on building and managing scalable, high-availability infrastructure that supports connected vehicle ecosystems, real-time communication platforms, and smart mobility solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage virtualized infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) within data center environments
• Deploy and maintain compute, storage (SAN/NAS), and networking systems
• Support V2V/V2X infrastructure including Roadside Units (RSUs) and backend platforms
• Integrate V2V systems with data center and cloud environments for real-time data processing
• Configure and optimize HA, DRS, vMotion, and disaster recovery solutions
• Work with LTE/5G, DSRC, and C-V2X communication technologies
• Ensure low-latency, high-availability communication between vehicles and infrastructure
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot across infrastructure and network layers
• Implement security best practices for connected vehicle ecosystems
• Automate provisioning and operations using scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible)
• Collaborate with telecom providers, OEMs, and smart city stakeholders
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with standards (SAE, ETSI, 3GPP)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field
• Strong experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
• Hands-on experience in data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networking)
• Knowledge of wireless communication (DSRC, C-V2X, LTE, 5G)
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching)
• Experience with Windows & Linux server environments
• Understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VMware NSX, vSAN, or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
• Knowledge of smart mobility / Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
• Familiarity with message standards (SAE J2735, SPaT, MAP)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to edge computing and real-time data processing
• Knowledge of cybersecurity in V2X ecosystems

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Cisco (CCNA/CCNP)
• Azure / AWS Certifications
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
