Role Summary:
The Skematix-to-Airflow Migration Consultant will convert SOK’s legacy GCOS8 scheduler and Skematix job orchestration workflows into Apache Airflow DAGs on Google Cloud Platform. This is the project’s highest-risk work item—the baseline assessment rates scheduler migration as the only LOW CONFIDENCE element, with the target scheduler and timelines still TBD, and Airflow integration status unclear. The Skematix Linux Agent communication is only 10% complete. This consultant must take ownership of defining the migration path, building the Airflow architecture, and delivering a production-ready scheduling layer that orchestrates all LIBER*Batch 8 and LIBER*TP8 workloads before the go-live.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Direct hands-on experience with the Skematix job scheduling platform.
· Prior experience migrating enterprise schedulers (Control-M, CA-7, TWS, Autosys) specifically to Apache Airflow.
· Familiarity with Google Cloud Composer (managed Airflow) in a FedRAMP environment.
· Experience with Google Cloud Platform DAGify tool or equivalent scheduler migration accelerators.
· Experience with Bull GCOS8 mainframe environments.
· Prior work with state government clients, particularly in FedRAMP High compliance zones.
· Apache Airflow Certification or demonstrated open-source Airflow contributions.
· 7+ years in enterprise batch scheduling/operations with at least 2 years focused on Airflow.
· Experience in Python to debug airflow
