Job Title: Cybersecurity – Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
Location- Remote
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Information System Security Officer (ISSO) responsible for ensuring the security, compliance, and protection of organizational information systems. The ISSO will support the implementation of security policies, monitor system security controls, and ensure systems meet regulatory and organizational cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security controls.

Monitor information systems to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.

Ensure systems comply with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar standards.

Review system security plans (SSPs), security documentation, and authorization packages.

Investigate security incidents and support incident response activities.

Work closely with IT, compliance, and security teams to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.

Maintain security documentation and ensure continuous monitoring of systems.

Provide guidance and training to staff on cybersecurity best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience in information security, risk management, or system security compliance.

Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, RMF, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.

Experience with vulnerability management and security monitoring tools.

Understanding of network security, system hardening, and access control.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:

Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or similar.

Experience with government or regulated industry security compliance.

Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
