This role is pivotal to our operation, ensuring that our manufacturing plant runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in plant maintenance, with a deep understanding of industrial equipment and a passion for continuous improvement. While experience in the food industry is preferred, we welcome applicants from all sectors within the consumer products manufacturing industry. Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the maintenance and repair of all plant machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
2. Develop and implement a robust preventative maintenance program, focusing on proactive measures to minimize potential equipment failures.
3. Lead, train, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
4. Work closely with other department heads to coordinate maintenance schedules, reducing disruption to the production process.
5. Manage the budget for the maintenance department, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
6. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
7. Continuously evaluate the efficiency of our operations and implement improvements where necessary.
8. Liaise with external contractors and suppliers, ensuring the timely delivery of services and parts.
9. Prepare regular reports for senior management, detailing maintenance activities, equipment status, and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in plant maintenance within the manufacturing industry.
2. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
3. Extensive knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.
4. Experience in the food manufacturing industry is preferred, but not essential.
5. Proven track record in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
8. Proficiency in using maintenance management software.
9. A degree in Engineering, or a related field, is preferred.
10. Certification in Health and Safety regulations is desirable.
11. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
12. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
13. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the plant.
