Systems Administrator to join our Autonomous Technology client on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will steward and enhance a modern, secure, and highly available IT environment. Compensation: $57-$68/hour (flexible, depends on experience level)

Responsibilities:- Provide white glove service and technical support for C-Suite end-users' systems and enterprise infrastructure in Windows and Linux environments.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, and related hardware and software.
- Administer user identities, permissions, and access controls using Active Directory and cloud-based identity platforms.
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, tracking, and retirement.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensure licensing compliance, and support audit and reporting requirements.
- Produce documentation and reports related to system usage, asset status, and operational compliance.
- Support and mentor junior administrators and support staff; contribute to knowledge sharing and technical documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations and perform scheduled maintenance outside of standard business hours as needed.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to support operational stability and incident response.
Qualifications & Requirements:- 3+ years of experience in systems administration, desktop engineering, or enterprise IT support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience managing user accounts, group policies, and access controls in Active Directory and Azure AD environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Familiarity with endpoint security practices and IT asset management tools.
- Ability and willingness to participate in on-call support and off-hours maintenance activities.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, documentation discipline, and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Education & Experience Guidelines:- 3+ years of overall IT experience.
- Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and/or JAMF.
- Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of IT service management practices (incident, change, and asset management).
- Experience supporting distributed, remote, or hybrid workforces.
- Industry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL, Cisco, or similar) a plus.
