  • Lead network planning strategies, including enterprise wireless local area network (WLAN) design, along with advanced wireless radio frequency (RF) site surveys and security designs.
  • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, data center connectivity, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain TCP/IP networks, including hardware, such as switches and routers, software, such as OS, NMS, and NAC, services, such as timing, logging, and QoS, and ISP/OSP distribution systems, such as fiber, copper cables, and related infrastructure.
  • Collaborate on the deployment of 802.11 wireless standards, focusing on advanced site surveying and RF design methodologies to improve system performance.
  • Manage network services, such as timing synchronization, logging mechanisms, and QoS implementations, ensuring operational reliability.
  • Provide technical expertise in assessing vulnerabilities within wired and wireless infrastructure, conducting cybersecurity scans, and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Optimize enterprise and tactical network health using tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, and other network management systems (NMS).

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in direct DoW management or leadership
  • Experience with infrastructure components such as fiber and copper cables, ISP/OSP networks, and physical transport technologies
  • Experience with Network planning and design strategies for enterprise wireless local area networks (WLAN), wireless site surveying techniques, RF design, 802.11 wireless standards, WLAN security, and troubleshooting of WLAN deployments
  • Experience with designing infrastructure and network services, including timing synchronization, logging services, and overall wireless or wired strategy for scalability
  • Knowledge of SolarWinds, Wireshark, and network troubleshooting platforms
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • DoW 8140, Defense Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) compliant, such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or CISSP Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience working with network security appliances, including Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls
  • Experience in cloud networking services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Knowledge of automation tools for process optimization, such as Python or Ansible
