Quality Engineer

Introduction:

The Quality Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products through the development and implementation of quality plans, inspection procedures, and work instructions. They will work closely with engineering teams to meet customer requirements and maintain compliance with ISO-900:2015 standards.

Responsibilities:

• Review engineering drawings, customer specifications, and material requirements to develop program quality plans.
• Prepare Manufacturing and Inspection Procedures (MIP) and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) packages.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and support in-process and final acceptance/rejection of products.
• Lead root cause, corrective, and preventive action investigations.
• Conduct internal audits on the Quality Management System and production processes.
• Collaborate with various functions to assure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Implement quality controls and protocols across multiple program platforms.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Bachelor''s Degree in Composite, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, customer specifications, and material requirements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in Quality Engineering and Quality Management Systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with inspection methods, tools, and equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO-900:2015 requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity or experience with SolidWorks model and drawing development.
• Materials testing experience (e.g., microscopy, short beam shear, burnouts).
• First article inspection experience.
• Ability to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads up to 50 pounds.
• Hands-on experience in performing required inspections.
