The Ask? Client is looking for Sr. Network / Cybersecurity / Firewall Engineer, to lead onsite deployments and go-live support for advanced medical technology solutions. You will be responsible for hands-on deployments, onsite troubleshooting, and building strong relationships with hospital IT and clinical teams to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and smooth go-live experiences.
Skills and Experience
- 15+ years of experience as Network / Cybersecurity Engineer
- Previous work exp in large IT departments, consulting firm, or leading software vendors as Network Architects
- Solid understanding of hospital IT environments, networking, firewalls, and system integrations
- Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Strong customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently at client sites and adapt in fast-paced environments
- Enthusiastic mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Subject Matter Expertise in NinjaOne, WatchRTC, Datadog, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence
- 10 years of experience in onsite implementation, deployment, or field engineering roles
- Prior experience in healthcare, medical devices, or health technology is strongly preferred
- Zone 1 / Zone 2 certified or trained
- German language proficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Onsite Implementation & Go-Live Support
- Lead onsite implementations within assigned regions, including new deployments and fixes requiring physical presence
- Validate site readiness (network, firewall, power, system connectivity) prior to deployment
- Execute installations strictly following SOPs and quality standards
- Perform post-installation testing, go-live validation, and customer acceptance
- Provide immediate onsite issue resolution during go-live and early stabilization
- Support high-volume deployments, remotely or onsite, as needed
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary onsite technical contact for clients during implementation
- Coordinate closely with hospital IT, biomedical, and clinical teams
- Proactively manage customer expectations by clearly communicating requirements, timelines, and risks
- Build long-term, trusted relationships by delivering a professional and consultative customer experience
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Document deployments, configurations, and resolution steps thoroughly
- Ensure smooth handover to centralized L1 / L2.5 support teams
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, standardization, and best practices across regions
- Provide backup coverage during overlapping deployments or team PTO
Travel & Regional Coverage
- Travel extensively across Germany and other EU regions based on deployment needs
- Travel across U.S.A as required
- Support regional coverage during peak implementation periods
- Primary onsite implementation within assigned regions including but not limited to:
- Validate site readiness including network, firewall, power, and connectivity
- Perform post-installation testing and customer acceptance
- Document deployments and hand over to centralized L1/L2.5 support
- Customer-facing coordination with hospital IT and clinical teams
- Execution of installation SOPs and go-live validation
- Immediate onsite issue resolution during go-live
- Remote or onsite support during high-volume deployments
- Backup coverage during PTO or overlapping implementations
